Book Week 2025 is just around the corner! The Children’s Book Council of Australia has been celebrating Book Week since its establishment in 1945, with the aim to encourage children of all ages to come together and celebrate books of high literary and artistic quality. This years theme is Book Your Own Adventure. The CBCA official Book Week dates usually go through to the end of August each year, however schools across Australia are seen coming together and celebrating literature the whole month of August and October. Our book week costumes allow children to become their favourite literary character for a day, and to explore the importance and joy of reading no matter what age your are. The theme "Book Your Own Adventure" allows our imaginations to run wild and celebrate characters from Peter Pan to Harry Potter or even Alice in Wonderland.
